Eisenberg and Zuckerberg on SNL was great!

The SNL history of character meeting real person has been great. This was another good one.

Other favorites include Palin/Fey, Clinton/Pohler, and Reno/Ferrell. But the one that had me wondering the most, whether it was real or fake, was Wahlberg/Samberg. “Say hello to your mother for me!”

Apple on VZW

I once read a rumor that Apple went to Verizon Wireless to be the home of the first iPhone and that Verizon turned them away. Regardless of the successes and failures with Android, webOS, Windows mobile/phone, BlackBerry…I can only assume VZW has been kicking themself for a long time now.

Too bad it’s not LTE though. This thing is going to be missing out on a ton of “standard” features found on the AT&T version like simultaneous voice+data. I’ll bet the features found in settings (like call forward and caller ID) will be out too.

Hotspot service is a nice touch. I know the jailbreakers have had this for some time now. Would be nice to see AT&T adopt this feature.

Verizon Announcement

Next Tuesday, Verizon is having a press event.

They are going to put phone capabilities on the Apple iPod Touch and call it the iPhone.

This ought to be a cool device, similar to the one at AT&T, but this one can send and receive phone calls and those phone calls will not be dropped.
